Alice with the next generation at the Architectural Association

Director Alice Dietsch is returning to the Architectural Association this summer to act as an external examiner of the school’s undergraduate BA course.

Following her experiences last year, she is particularly keen to examine studios that explore the relationship between form and materials, including a studio led by Christopher Matthews and Christopher Pierce, an investigation of ceramics run in collaboration with Cumella, who are collaborating with AL_A on the EDP Arts and Technology Centre in Lisbon and previously on the Bench of Plates at the London Design Festival.

“We’ve become passionate about ceramics working on our projects at the V&A and Lisbon and it’s great to see that materials are being explored in collaboration with an artisanal producer at undergraduate level.”
