Paisley Museum reaches practical completion

A dramatic red drum entrance announces a new chapter for Paisley

February 18 2026

AL_A has transformed Paisley Museum, redefining the responsibilities of a museum and reimagining it as the beating heart of the town.

A dramatic red drum entrance announces a new chapter for Paisley and is an expression of the town’s radical spirit.

What lies beyond promises even more: light-filled community spaces, remodelled galleries and a new garden and courtyard designed to welcome, surprise and inspire.

The project reflects our belief in the power of public space to bring people together, transforming an underperforming historic museum into a civic destination of international quality.

Exhibition fit out and object installation is now underway and the museum is set to open at the end of 2026.
