AL_A feature in Architectural Association exhibition

MAAT and V&A models on display at AA until 9 December

October 6 2017

AA Women in Architecture‘ explores the story of women’s presence within the architectural profession. Beginning in 1917, through photographs, models, drawings and other archival material, a number of themes are explored alongside a feature devoted to student work across the generations. Projects featured in the exhibition range from the very first building designed by AA women, two recent museum projects by AL_A, MAAT and V&A Exhibition Road, and an installation that focuses on Zaha Hadid’s connections to the AA.

The exhibition is curated by Elizabeth Darling and Lynne Walker, designed by Eva Jiricna and Georgina Papathanasiou and accompanied by the release of the book AA Women in Architecture 1917-2017.

AA Women in Architecture‘ opens on 7 October and runs until 9 December, and is open Monday to Friday 10.00 – 19.00 and Saturday 10.00 – 17.00.
