Amanda on BBC Radio 4 Front Row at the V&A

August 11 2015

Amanda will be on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row to explore the construction of AL_A’s Exhibition Road project at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Alongside Front Row presenter John Wilson and Ed Clark, director of the project’s engineers Arup, Amanda will talk about the immense structural challenges of the project, including digging down over 15m through fifty million year old London clay, and the University of Cambridge’s pioneering fibre optic systems that monitor the complex construction processes.

The interview also covers AL_A’s research that has gone into perfecting the porcelain tiles that will form the surface of the Museum’s new courtyard.

The programme will be broadcast on Tuesday 11 August 2015 at 7.15pm on BBC Radio 4 and will be available after broadcast on the BBC iPlayer here, along with a gallery of images.
