Deck design for a top racing Wally Yacht

Inspired by the aesthetics and materiality of fluid dynamics, the deck structure is conceived as a single drop of mercury that has been sculpted by speed and shaped by the wind to form an ergonomic sun bed, seating areas, and benches.

As the sinuous tails of the benches drift into the timber deck, the blade-like table peels up out of the deck in a counter move which balances the sensual curves of the deck structure with the sleek lines of Angel’s Share, built by Wally Yachts and launched in 2009.
