Recruitment: Applications sought for Revit Technician and Admin Assistant/PA positions

November 21 2014

Revit Technician

We are a world-class architecture studio based just north of Kings Cross and we have a vacancy for an experienced Revit Technician to start immediately.

The ideal candidate will be a Revit Technician with minimum 2 years experience.  You will posses excellent detailing skills.  Our work involves bespoke detailing so you will have the ability and interest in working with suppliers to develop unique details within Revit.  Setting up sheets, templates and views will be everyday work for you and you will have advanced skills building parametric families.  Experience setting up a project from scratch is desirable as is experience coordinating and collaborating many models with multiple external consultants.

Although BIM project experience is an advantage, this role would not suit a BIM Manager as this is a hands-on role which will be focussed on Revit only.  Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British Standards would be a bonus.

You will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and be able to assist and train other team members with limited Revit capability. Excellent communication skills are essential.

In return you will work in a highly creative environment, contribute to our success, take your shoes off at the door every morning and enjoy being part of our special office culture.

Hours: Usually 9am to 6pm (with one hour lunch), Mon – Fri.
Salary: £30,000 – 35,000 dependent on experience.
Benefits: 20 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays.

All applicants must have the necessary working permits to start immediately.

Please apply with a cover letter, portfolio, which should include images of your modelling experience as well as your detailing capability, and CV to work@ala.uk.com.

No agencies please.

We have a vacancy for an admin assistant and personal assistant to start immediately. You will be a cheerful, efficient, outgoing and professional graduate with flawless English speaking skills and an excellent phone manner. You will use logical thinking to work semi-autonomously and ask the right questions.  You won’t give up easily, being inventive to solve problems.  You must be computer literate, polite, supportive and self-motivated.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

– providing personal assistant support to a director including diary management, travel, expenses, errands

– working with our receptionist/runner to greet clients, answer telephones, run errands

– responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the office to a very high standard

– assisting with a variety of facilities management tasks such as liaising with our suppliers

– providing support to our marketing team, updating documents and compiling competition submissions and brochures using Adobe CS (experience with InDesign an advantage)

– supporting project teams with samples, email filing, contacts management, travel arrangements, research

– assisting with IT tasks such as setting up workstations, changing backup tapes (no previous experience necessary)

No day will be the same in this diverse role which requires someone who is organised, curious and switched on. You will need to be comfortable doing physical activities and have a ‘no job is too small’ approach. You will be part of an administrative team providing seamless service and support to a busy office.

In return you will work in a highly creative environment, contribute to our success, take your shoes off at the door every morning and enjoy being part of our special office culture.
